Inversion Therapy: These days, most of us spend a considerable time in the sedentary position. Sitting for lengthy periods of time, computer work and driving long distances can all contribute to compression of our spines. The pressure in the discs in our low back is 11 times greater when we are seated than in a standing position! To combat this spinal compression we encourage our clients to exercise and stretch. In addition to these exercises and stretches we may recommend the use of our inversion table.
The inversion table provides a gentle, rhythmical traction on your whole spine. This traction has been shown to be beneficial by gently decompressing the spinal joints and discs thereby reducing pressure on pain sensitive areas as well as improving circulation in and around the spinal joints.
