Walking on concrete, paving and other hard surfaces cannot be avoided. These hard surfaces do not support the foot's structure appropriately and can cause the feet to roll inwards - a condition known as excess pronation. Because the foot does not get the necessary support from these hard surfaces, the arch will flatten to make contact with the ground.
Orthotics are inserts which are placed inside your shoes to tilt your feet into their proper position, correcting misalignments and excess pronation. Orthotics are unique devices that assist in re-aligning the foundation of the body to its correct biomechanical position. Misalignments of the feet can cause far reaching symptoms throughout the body such as flat feet, heel spurs, metatarsalgia, plantar fasciitis, corns and callouses, shin splints, general foot pain, knee pain, hip pain and low back pain. Orthotics can eliminate or reduce these symptoms.
